After a brief pause, Maddox made his presence known, looking for all the world like a sheep on its way to the slaughter. The young referee faced Heyman's fire admirably, offering up an apology for bungling his first main event. Maddox balked, however, at the mad scientist of Extreme's demand that he tender his resignation. This brought The Second City Saint to his feet, venom spewing forth as CM Punk berated the referee for "embarrassing" both himself and the WWE Champion live on Raw. "Who are you?" Punk sneered, which brought forth the explanation: Maddox was a new referee, brought to Raw by General Manager AJ Lee after Raw expanded to three hours. Or, as Heyman put it, "you're a scab!" before presenting Maddox with a gift: a sleep mask with the WWE logo over one eye and the NFL emblem covering the other.
Before the public shaming could continue, however, AJ skipped down to the ring and excused Maddox for the time being, and a brief back-and-forth with Heyman led to Punk re-entering the fray. With tensions mounting, Punk cued up his own piece of footage: AJ's left-field marriage proposal to The Second City Saint from Raw two months earlier. "That's the reason ... you sent an incompetent referee out to screw me last week," Punk continued, laughing in AJ's face. "You forget last week's match ever happened and I'll forget the hundreds of text messages and voicemails you left me that I'm not fit to air on the USA Network."
With AJ getting more than a little red in the face, Heyman stepped in again, offering to help navigate the choppy waters the WWE Champion suddenly found himself in. Heyman's solution: marry him! (they didn't call him the mad scientist for nothing). "Think about all the power couples we're gonna trump!" Heyman shrieked from down on one knee. Heyman's genius took a left-field turn when he insinuated that he would come up with all the ideas and AJ could take the credit. For the grand finale, Heyman lasciviously sneered that "I like 'em dumb, young and ambitious," which brought forth a vicious slap across the face from Miss Lee.
What Happened After Raw Went Off The Air?, CM Punk vs John Cena in a Cage Match
After Raw went off the air tonight, the dark match main event was CM Punk vs John Cena in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Title. The match was back and forth until Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler interfered to assist Punk, and he was able to sneak out of the ring to win the bout.Sheamus and Randy Orton then came out and cleared Del Rio from the ring, leaving Ziggler alone to take the finishers from the baby faces. Justin Roberts then thanked the fans and the show was over.
Cena No Longer Advertised For Raw Monday Night
Believe it or not, even Superman needs some time off.Such is the case with top WWE superstar John Cena, who is no longer being advertised for tomorrow night's (Oct. 1, 2012) episode of Monday Night Raw at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
There's still a great deal of doubt regarding how long exactly Cena will be out of action. First, WWE.com ran with reports stating he would be out for two-to-three weeks. Upon seeing this, Cena himself took the website to task for the erroneous report, claiming his doctor actually told him his elbow was much worse than it looked originally and he would need somewhere around six weeks to heal.
Then, reports came out that Cena had told a crowd at NXT he would be back to wrestle in three weeks but those turned out to be false. All throughout, he was claiming he would make sure to be at Raw, although it's entirely possible he was only making reference to the next episode, which was last weeks, and he was there, sling and all, challenging CM Punk to a WWE championship match at Hell in a Cell.
That's still the plan, assuming Cena is healthy enough to be ready for it, although there were reports stating Ryback was the backup plan and that's why WWE shot the angle at the end of Raw this past Monday with Ryback confronting Punk after he kicked Mick Foley in the gut.
With this story, though, you just never know. The best we can do at this point is exactly what WWE always wants everyone to do anyway.
Stay tuned.
How Long Jeff Hardy Is Under Contract With TNA Wrestling; Possible WWE Return?
Jeff Hardy’s contract with TNA Wrestling is coming up in February 2013. There continues to be a lot of speculation regarding his future but TNA will reportedly open negotiations for a new deal prior to the contract coming up.
As has been the trend of late, TNA has cut the rate of guaranteed money to talent re-signing contracts.
For those speculating a possible return to WWE for Hardy, there are several factors in play. One, WWE would have to be interested and the ongoing litigation brought against by TNA would have to be over. Hardy would also return with two Wellness Policy strikes and would be subject to stringent testing procedures.
WrestleMania 29: John Cena Must End the Undertaker's Streak
John Cena must face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 and end his streak, redeeming himself after losing to the Rock at WrestleMania 28.
When the Rock delivered the Rock Bottom to Cena in the closing moments of their epic WrestleMania match, the WWE Universe was in shock.
To some, it's not a surprise that the Rock won, as he is one of the best WWE superstars of all time. The real shock was that the WWE's most polarizing figure was brought down to size.
Cena looked human for the first time in awhile. It wasn't the classic story of Cena being beat up throughout the match to only have him come back with his patented five moves for the victory. No, it was completely different this time.
The look on Cena's face after he lost the match was enough to tell a million stories. Most of the stories would include something that has to do with failure and defeat.
That look did not change the next night on Raw, where Cena congratulated the Rock. Cena then took some time to discuss how he lost it all by losing to "Great One."
Cena called the Rock out, but that's not who showed up. Brock Lesnar came out to a huge pop and gave Cena the F5.
Cena has never looked weaker in his career as a WWE superstar. Even when he was being picked apart and dismantled by the Nexus, he didn't look this weak.
If Cena wants to really rise above anything, it shouldn't be hate; it should be power.
The Rock and Lesnar are both two of the most powerful wrestlers in WWE history. Cena failed to rise above the Rock's power, but he now has a chance with Lesnar.

If Cena is able to defeat Lesnar, he should not look to have a
rematch with the Rock at WrestleMania 29. Cena should challenge the
most powerful wrestler in WWE history who owns the most powerful
streak—the Undertaker.
It doesn't matter if he is a heel or a baby face when he challenges the Undertaker—none of that matters anymore.
Once Cena lost to the Rock, the whole atmosphere around Cena changed. If there is anytime when Cena will have a huge tweak to his gimmick, the time is now.
What Cena needs to do is focus on defeating Lesnar and making sure he regrets the fact that he came out and gave him an F5. Cena should then continue on up until Survivor Series, where Cena would get involved in a couple of non-title matches with different superstars.
There should never be one moment during this time where Cena's hand is not raised after a match. In order for this match to be legitimate, Cena must go undefeated and not look weak for a very long time. The kiddy promos he cuts should also be thrown out the window, because that stuff does not fly with the Undertaker.
Then, Cena must challenge the Undertaker in a way where the Deadman would accept. Regardless of what the stipulation is, the Undertaker should not win.
The Undertaker's legacy will not change much if he loses to arguably one of the best WWE superstars of all time. If anything, his streak will be tainted if he losses to an up-and-coming superstar like Dolph Ziggler or Wade Barrett.
However, if the Deadman’s streak is broken by Cena, this will do wonders for his career.
The world might forget about his loss to the Rock once he defeats the Undertaker. As great as the Rock is, the opportunity to end the Undertaker’s streak seems more tempting than defeating the Great One. Some may even argue that an opportunity to end the streak is bigger than an opportunity to win a WWE or World Heavyweight Championship belt.
In Cena’s case, the streak means more than any gold or any wrestler-turned-actor. The streak to Cena will mean more than his match with the Rock because he will become desperate. Nothing hurts more than a loss to Cena, especially one that comes against someone who has been ridiculing him for 14 months.
Defeating the Undertaker at WrestleMania would mean less “Cena Sucks” and more “Let’s go Cena” chants.
It would mean there would not be any more posters in the stands that have Cena next to a big box of fruity pebbles. It would mean that no one would remember all the bad about Cena because he did something that no other wrestler was able to do—end the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak.
Sure, Cena may go on and not fight the Undertaker and maybe win the WWE Championship at next year's WrestleMania, but it will mean nothing. The fans will continue to belittle Cena because they have grown tired of him holding on to the belt so frequently.
The only thing that will cure Cena's funk and his heat with the fans is not only the opportunity to end the Undertakers streak, but to actually end the streak that many legends before him have failed to do.
The fan that CM Punk hit at WWE Raw this week filed a report with Sacramento police. He claims his glasses were broke during the assault by the WWE Champion. Below a Tweet from Laura Cole, a reporter from CBS 13, who interviewed the fan: This fan says his face is a little warm after punk shamelessly attacked him. WWE universe is wondering whether punk should take angry management class just like his fellow wrestlers Daniel Brian and Kane did. many people ask questions about the behavior of punk forcing people to respect him. Punk will never earn any respect in his carrier in WWE.
